Update v04032024 — Base Area Debug

  • Reintroduced HQ wreck marker by @Marty
  • Removed the task system from the mission
  • Placed debug lines to see what is wrong with the base area limit bug that happens sometimes. If you run in to this bug, please report it on discord with timestamp and preferable screenshots/video how the bases are set up
  • Placed debug lines to track the total group amount and total AI amount in the game to make sure that there aren't any ghost groups. We made this change since after adding 2 more cores on to the server, yesterday it still lagged and was caused by a bug in the mission. We might be running in to the group limit which causes weird issues, including for the base areas that are groups themselves, actually. If you notice that server fps is constantly low, and no matter what, doesn't recover to ~45-48, let me know and I'll check it out from the logs if we can spot the bug. Of course it's possible that on very high player counts and on old round it's still below 40 for extended periods of time.
  • Fixed last syntax error in the base defences, and last major error on the server RPT side (excluding the algorithm for pathing the guerilla res AI's, which only throws error at the start of the game). If any unusual server lag is observer now, it is caused by too many groups which I described above, please report it and we'll attempt optimize the performance so that the server is very playable even with 30 players!
