It's official: the mission we've been running, patching, and rebuilding for years now has a name and a number. WASP Warfare 1.0 is live on the server right now.
1.0 is the consolidation of everything that landed over the past months — over seventy merged updates — hardened, tested, and running as one build. If you've been away for a while, this is the moment to come back.
The headlines:
- Team Menu V2 — save four full gear presets and rebuy your loadout in one click on respawn. Squad orders (move, defend, follow) straight from the menu, no map fiddling.
- Smarter squads — AI soldiers now retreat when badly wounded, AT gunners hold overwatch instead of charging tanks, and stuck soldiers get themselves unstuck without derailing the squad.
- Defense building overhaul — higher static-weapon caps, clearer placement rules, and a fixed placement preview. Building your base's defenses works the way you'd expect again.
- AI commanders that fight — every side without a human commander gets an AI one that buys, expands, and attacks. Team founding and delegation got a reliability pass for this release.
- Permanent daytime — the server now defaults to daylight. No more squinting through a 4 AM firefight.
- Battlefield feedback — sniper spots broadcast timed map markers to your whole side, and notable kills (vehicles, pilots, commanders) show up in a side-wide feed with weapon and distance.
The full 1.0 changelog has everything, and the guides have been refreshed to match.
What's next: AI Commander V2 — a rebuilt strategic brain for the AI-led sides — is already built and in validation on the test box. It ships as the first post-1.0 update once it passes its soak tests.
See you on Chernarus. The server's up — how to connect.
